Prepare to kiss unflattering, ill-fitting pants goodbye! The Perfect Pants class is your ticket to creating custom-tailored bottoms that accentuate your best assets and make you feel like a total boss. In this class master essential pant-making techniques from measuring and pattern-drafting to sewing. Walk away with a brand-new pair of pants you designed and constructed yourself. You will also have a pattern block that you will be able to use over and over again.
Supply List:
- Sewing machine in good working order. Power cord, foot pedal & manual
- Pins
- Seam ripper
- Extra bobbins
- Machine needles Size 75/11 AND 90/14
- Thread
- Sharp pencil and pencil sharpener
- Chacoliner or other marking tool
- Fabric scissors
- Muslin or cheap fabric to make a mock up of the pants and make any adjustments (Between 2 and 3.5 yards depending on size)
- Bottom weight Fabric for final. Denim, Corduroy, even some linen and rayon twill. Same amount as your muslin
- There will be a 30 min break for lunch each day
Optional Supplies:
- Long Cutting Ruler - at least 18” long - there are some to share in classroom
- Iron and ironing surface - there are some to share in classroom
- Rotary cutter with extra blades – 45mm blade size is standard
- Cutting mat – at least 18” long - there are some to share in classroom
- French Curve – I will have these in class to use but you will need one if you’d like to do this again at home
- Measuring tape

Class Cancellation Policy
To reserve a seat, all Pocono Sew & Vac classes must be paid in full upon registration. In the event that a student needs to cancel their reservation for a class, they should notify PS&V at least 7 days in advance (by phone) to be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before class will not be issued a refund.
If a class does not have the minimum number of participants 7 days prior to class day, the teacher will cancel class. The customer will be fully refunded within 7 to 10 business days. Any questions call PS&V at 800-442-8227.
Some classes require homework to be done before class, such as cutting/prepping fabrics. If homework is required, it will be posted in the class description. Please read the class description thoroughly before signing up before a class. If homework is not done by the start of class, you will not be able to attend, and a refund will not be issued.
